How do braces work?

Braces use a system of small brackets attached to the front of each tooth, a metal archwire running through them, and tiny elastics to hold it all in place. We can use this system to place targeted pressure on your teeth and move them into proper alignment.

You will visit our practice for regular adjustments over the course of treatment. Your Specialist Orthodontist will make small bends in your archwire that place gentle pressure on specific teeth. This will slowly move your teeth into the desired positions.
